Choosing a Safari

It is a desire and a dream for most people to go on an African Safari. However, with many countries to choose from, and a lot of safaris to choose .In our quick guide to African Safaris below we’ll help you narrow down the options. Of course there are different safari destinations, but you might not know that there are also many different types of safari. Each season has its own special merits. Remember that Africa’s seasons are reversed from the summer/winter seasons of the northern hemisphere. In the cooler, dry winter months (typically April to October) the absence of water causes the wildlife to concentrate around the few remaining water sources.

When you plan an African safari, there are a number of things you need to consider, from the animals you want to see, and what kind of safari you would like to experience; luxury, tented, mobile, budget camping — there are plenty of options.

The advantage of the Victoria Falls is that it is within a national park and the Zambezi River meaning you could do almost all safari activities in one place without travelling to another area. In Victoria Falls you could see all the BIG 5 ANIMALS (see above picture) Victoria Falls is also on a tip were four countries meet, Zambia, Botswana and Namibia. It would take less than 15 minutes drive to be in Zambia’s Livingstone town then it takes less than an hour to be in Botswana while it takes a bit longer to drive to a nearby Namibian town of Katima Mulilo but however it takes less than an hour on a flight and to South Africa it takes almost an hour flight. Wildlife in Victoria Falls comes to and from neighbouring countries as there are no fences, so the animals can roam freely across the borders of the neighboring countries of Botswana, Zambia and Namibia.
